abstract = "From the satellite point of view, its design must take into
account all the aspects imposed by the launch vehicle interface.
This interface is the primary satellite link with the external
world during the launch phase. This interface creates restrictions
that the satellite must meet. Model Based Systems Engineering
(MBSE) approach is a methodology for dealing with complex systems
such as aerospace projects. It is important to have a reference
model to standardize a MBSE approach. A reference model is a
starting point that teams can use for their specific system models
and it establishes a nomenclature for incorporating stakeholder
analysis and defining architecture down to the logical systems
(Kaslow et al, 2015). The proposal of this study is to create a
Satellite/Launch Vehicle Interface Reference Model and to study
how MBSE processes, along with this Reference Model, can improve a
                         Systems Engineering process.",
